David is Managing Director, UAE, Edelman.
David has 24 years of strategic communications experience, including 13 years in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain, where he held leadership roles in both consultancy and client-side positions. He joins Edelman after serving as a Partner at Consulum Government Communications, overseeing key accounts including Qiddiya Investment Company and the Public Investment Fund.
Previously, he was Managing Director at Kekst CNC for a decade, with half that time as Head of their Middle East business, where he significantly expanded operations.
David has deep expertise in the Gulf region, having worked with major clients like Mubadala, TAQA, and Saudi Aramco on strategic communications. He is committed to fostering team development and believes that sustained excellence arises from mutual care and shared goals.
A graduate in Politics & History from Newcastle University, David began his career as a lobbyist in the UK, working on pharmaceutical and biotech issues and serving a stint in the U.S. Senate. He also judged the Middle East Public Relations Awards from 2015-2019.
